Terms and Conditions

*The following promotion starts from 5 December, 2017 to 12 December, 2017 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”):

1. Tap & Go Stored Value Rebates (“Promotion”)
   1. 1.1. HK$100 Tap & Go Stored Value rebate (“HK$100 Rebate”) – This HK$100 Rebate is applicable to the first 3,000 new customers (“Qualified New Customers”) who successfully activate Tap & Go Payment Service (“Tap & Go”) and upload a copy of a valid identity document for the first time during the Promotion Period and use Tap & Go mobile wallet to register for the Promotion successfully between 7 December, 2017 12:00 noon and 12 December, 2017 11:59 p.m. (“Registration Period”). Qualified New Customers will receive this HK$100 Rebate if they settle payment with Tap & Go upon a single net purchase of HK$200 or above at Taobao® Marketplace (world.taobao.com), Tmall Global (www.tmall.hk) or Tmall (www.tmall.com) (collectively, the “Platforms”) on 12 December, 2017 (“Shopping Carnival”). Each Qualified New Customer (counted by valid identity document number) can enjoy this HK$100 Rebate once only.
   2. 1.2. HK$30 Tap & Go Stored Value rebate (“HK$30 Rebate”) – This HK$30 Rebate is applicable to the first 5,000 existing customers (“Qualified Existing Customers”) of Tap & Go who successfully activate Tap & Go and upload a copy of a valid identity document prior to the Promotion Period and use Tap & Go mobile wallet to register for the Promotion successfully during the Registration Period. Qualified Existing Customers will receive this HK$30 Rebate if they settle payment with Tap & Go upon a single net purchase of HK$200 or above on the Platforms during the Shopping Carnival. Each Qualified Existing Customer (counted by valid identity document number) can enjoy this HK$30 Rebate once only.

2. The Rebates will be automatically credited to Tap & Go accounts of the Customers within three (3) weeks after the Shopping Carnival.
3. Each Customer (counted by valid identity document number) can register for the Promotion once only during the Registration Period and the registration is subject to the availability of the quota of the Rebates. The Rebates are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
4. Customers must have a valid Tap & Go account to receive the Rebates. Otherwise, the Rebates will be cancelled without notice.
5. The Rebates cannot be used in exchange for cash, gift, service or discount.
6. This Promotion is not applicable to the purchase of virtual, idle transfer (for personal use) and local lifestyle service type of products.
7. The Rebates will be forfeited if the Customers cancel the purchase or apply for refund from the Platforms or if the single net purchase is less than HK$200.
8. Alipay® platform, the Platforms and HKT Payment Limited (“HKT Payment”) will operate this Promotion in accordance with the applicable laws. In the event that the Promotion is terminated by the relevant government authorities or suspended due to network attack or technical failure, Alipay® platform, the Platforms and HKT Payment will not be liable for any compensation for any loss or damage.
9. Sellers on the Platforms and the parcel forwarders are responsible for their respective products offered and after sales services. The Platforms and HKT Payment are not involved in such sales and after sale services and will not be held responsible for any product quality issues, fitness for purposes, or product suitability or sales practices relating to products purchased by the Customers, or for any failure of parcel forwarders to deliver the parcel forwarding services.
10. HKT Payment reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. The amended terms and conditions will be effective once published on the websites of the Platforms and the website for Tap & Go. Your continued participation in this Promotion after the publication of the amended terms and conditions shall be deemed as your acceptance of the amended terms and conditions. In the event of any dispute, the decision of HKT Payment will be final and conclusive. Tap & Go is also subject to its relevant terms and conditions. 11. In the event of any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version will prevail.
